Zhayvoronok Vitaliy Viktorovich - doctor of philological sciences, professor, the leading scientific worker of the O.O.Potebnia Institute of linguistics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In the number of scientific works - it is more than 120 articles, monographs, books, among which known lexicographical editions "The dictionary of the Ukrainian language" in 11 volumes, "The dictionary of abbreviations in the Ukrainian language", where he is simultaneously the co-author and the editor. V.V.Zhayvoronok is co-author of original textbooks of Ukrainian linguistics for the elementary school "Світлиця" and "Дивограй". Besides that, he fruitfully works in different spheres of linguistic sciences - lexicology, the science of translation, ethnolinguistics, stylistics, and also teaches in higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
